    The Role Within this role you will be focusing on supporting our reginal clients to deliver various industrial projects in the Mining, Oil and Gas, Electrical Generation and Electrical Utilities sectors. This is a full‑time position with a flexible working arrangement. Reporting to the Fredericton Electrical Lead, and working alongside other team members locally and across the country, you will have the opportunity to provide Instrument & Controls (I&C) design and technical support for a wide variety of projects.

  • Senior Pipeline Engineer

    Responsibilities

    Prepare Pipeline class location assessments

    Coordinate with GIS specialist to develop Alignment sheets

    Perform pipeline design calculations, including wall thickness, hydrotest and HDD

    Prepare pipeline design reports, and material selection

    Contribute to engineering specifications, standards, and procedures

    Complete Material Take Offs (MTOs) and prepare associated Material Requisitions

    Preparation of Construction Work Packages (CWPs)

    Coordinate procurement bids and conduct technical bid evaluations

    Identify optimization and operating cost reduction opportunities

    Ensure construction and field modifications comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations

    Provide technical guidance on project designs, cost estimates, and economic justifications

    Support short- and long-term engineering planning and innovation initiatives

    Expected:

    Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline (Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, or Pipeline Engineering preferred)

    15+ years of experience with below-ground pipelines

    Registration with APEGA as a Professional Engineer

    Familiarity with engineering standards relevant to the Oil & Gas pipeline industry, including CSA, ASME, API, and Alberta Pipeline Rules

    Strong technical knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry

    Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

    Proven ability to work in a team environment while collaborating with various disciplines

    Demonstrated willingness to learn and work independently

    Strong technical writing and oral communication skills in English

    Comfortable working in a hybrid (office and home) environment

    Legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application

    Provide electrical engineering support for bio-based industrial projects

    Lead discipline scope on small projects and electrical packages on large projects

    Act as the electrical Professional of Record on assigned projects

    Coordinate design with other engineering disciplines

    Develop design deliverables including single lines, layouts, schematics, grounding, cable routing, and equipment specifications

    Prepare and conduct power system studies including arc flash, load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination
