Role Description WSP is currently seeking an experienced Fire Protection Systems Engineer to join one of our Ontario offices. Several projects may require travel to Tiverton, Ontario; Toronto, Ontario; Saint John, New Brunswick; Pickering and Oshawa, Ontario. As a highly motivated Fire Protection Systems Engineer, you will be the go-to subject matter expert with the ability to lead varied, complex fire protection systems design projects in a multidisciplinary setting.     What you can expect to do here:
    As a Senior Environmental Planner, you will:
    Lead EAs and approval processes for complex transportation projects across Ontario. Manage project deliverables, including technical studies, impact assessments, and regulatory documentation. Provide strategic technical leadership and guidance to teams and clients. Design and lead consultation programs with Indigenous communities, the public, stakeholders, and regulators. Build strong client relationships, identify new project opportunities, and support business development and proposal writing. Support team operations, including workload planning, mentorship, and professional development. Champion health and safety, modeling WSP’s Life-Saving Rules and corporate values in your daily work.

    What you’ll bring to WSP:
    A degree in environmental studies, environmental science, planning, or a related discipline. 8–10+ years of experience managing EAs and approvals, particularly in the transportation sector. Proven experience engaging with the public, stakeholders, Indigenous Nations, and regulatory bodies, using both traditional and innovative digital tools. Strong project management skills, with experience leading medium to large, interdisciplinary teams. Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management. Knowledge of applicable legislation including the Environmental Assessment Act, Endangered Species Act, Ontario Heritage Act, and others. Professional designations such as RPP (OPPI), EP (ECO Canada), or PMP (PMI) are preferred.

    Support managers with preliminary fee estimations, resourcing, and deliverables with proposals and pursuits on projects.
    Deep knowledge of different mechanical systems including but not limited to HVAC systems, hydronic heating and cooling, ventilation, platform snow melting system, and infloor heating. Provide day to day guidance to design team, acting as design lead on projects, attending meetings, client facing and representing WSP.

    Overview Senior Construction Manager role at WSP in Canada. Temporary position with rotational shifts near Squamish, BC. Travel to and from the project is paid for by WSP. The construction team handles a diverse range of construction operations related to projects across Canada in support of WSP’s engineers, scientists, and the other operating divisions. What you can expect to do here: You will deliver new construction opportunities for large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects across Canada. You will be accountable for project delivery – safety, scope, quality, and schedule. You will develop and implement project plans; Project Execution Plans, Project Site Safety Plans. Good leadership and ability to manage an internal multidisciplinary team and subcontractors; Bilingualism an asset (French/English); Experience working on projects with strict regulatory requirements Experience in projects related to large diameter drilled caissons, freighter terminal and or marine construction is desirable; Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Procore, IDocs and Adobe Acrobat software; Attention to detail, high self-motivation and good problem-solving skills; PMP and / or Professional Engineer designation are an asset; Demonstrated experience in design-build projects would be an asset; Demonstrated experience in completing and maintaining daily job reports and delay tracking Mobility (out of town) within the Region (Squamish, BC) and nationally is expected to be 100% of the time, working two weeks on and two weeks off.
