Hello! My name is Leena Yousefi, and I am the Founder of YLaw, the largest family law firm in BC and one of the fastest growing companies in the country. Also, the founder of the Split, the first family law app of its kind in the world.

What Makes YLaw Special
We dream and innovate constantly. We were the first firm of our size to develop a legal app to help those who can't afford legal fees. We tested 4 day work weeks, introduced first trimester leaves, holiday swaps, pay transparency and uniformity, etc. We get a lot of press for what we do and we absolutely love what we do.
YLaw was created to break away from traditional, conservative, and outdated models of legal practice. We believe law can be bold, modern, human, and profitable at the same time.
About Me and Management Team
At heart, I am a marketer, creator, and visionary - also a lawyer with ADHD, a few kids and around 60 employees.
I move fast, I think big, and I build relentlessly. What I am not always best at is slowing down to focus on numbers, operational detail, systems, and process. This is where you'd come in!We have a wonderful management team of 4 partners and a directors of operations. We all work closely to run the ship.
About You
This role is for someone who is ambitious, driven, and energized by high-growth environments. I expect high standards. This position is best suited for someone who has a relatively thick skin, high energy, and wants to build something meaningful alongside a visionary founder.
If you are excited by momentum, innovation, and real impact, this role will challenge and reward you. If you prefer slow-moving, heavily bureaucratic environments, this will not be the right fit.
This is intended to be a long-term, full-time role. We invest deeply in our people and we expect commitment in return. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the organization and help build something lasting, not someone seeking a short-term stepping stone.

This role will play a key part in helping the firm reduce manual work, increase efficiency, and adopt smarter systems across the organization.A strong understanding of numbers, data, and financial reporting is highly valued. I often make decisions based on instinct and experience. I am looking for a partner who can complement that with clear data, financial insight, and operational discipline.

CompensationWe will be delighted to offer high compensation for the right candidate. This may include a strong base salary along with performance-based incentives and potential long-term upside such as profit sharing.Compensation is based on skills and experience, and can range from $180,000 to $300,000+.

Translating vision into scalable systems, processes, and executionOverseeing firm-wide operations, workflows, and performance metricsDeveloping and refining financial reporting, forecasting, and key performance indicatorsLeading adoption of AI, automation, and operational technology across the firmOptimizing staffing models, utilization, and capacity planningPartnering closely with the managing partners and founder on strategy, growth, and executionActing as an integrator across leadership, lawyers, and operational teamsSupporting sustainable expansion across offices and practice areas
