  • Job Description:As a Cashier, you play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers have a seamless and delightful dining experience. You are the face of our establishment, responsible for handling transactions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This position demands a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Customer Service: Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Provide information about menu items, special offers, and promotions. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency. Ensure every customer leaves with a positive impression of our restaurant.Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash, and credit card transactions, and operate the cash register. Calculate and return change to customers, ensuring accuracy at all times. Maintain the cash drawer and reconcile cash transactions at the end of each shift.Order Processing: Take customer orders, ensuring order accuracy and special requests are properly noted. Enter orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system with precision. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order preparation and delivery.Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the cashier area, including the counter and surrounding space, clean and organized. Assist in restocking supplies and condiments as needed. Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing tasks to maintain a hygienic environment.Menu Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the menu, including ingredients, pricing, and any changes. Make recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the customer's experience.Team Collaboration: Work cohesively with other team members, including kitchen staff and servers, to ensure efficient service. Assist with other tasks as needed to support restaurant operations.Cashier Reports: Prepare daily cashier reports as required by management. Ensure accuracy in all financial transactions and reporting.Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of prior cashier or customer service experience in Canada. Fluent in English that doesn't give the customer difficulty to understand. Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in using cash registers and POS systems. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Able to stand for long hours. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Team player with a positive and customer-focused attitude. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.Working Conditions: This position requires standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced and often hectic environment, and handling financial transactions.Job Type: Part-timePay: From $17.20 per hourExpected hours: around 19-25 hours per weekShift: Your shift will be determined by the management.
