Industry Marketing Manager

Genetec’s Industry Marketing Management (IMM) team is a highly skilled group of industry marketers who bridge the worlds of technology, sales, and vertical markets (aka industries) with ease, and are experts on our buyers and the industries they work in. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Industry Marketing, this role is critical to the success of our vertical markets strategy by leading a team of industry marketing managers that supports our vertical events, campaigns and initiatives.
You are an engaged and energetic marketer whose natural curiosity motivates you to understand our vertical markets, our audiences, and buyers. You demonstrate a deep enthusiasm for market research, planning, messaging, audience acquisition, and demand generation. You are driven by technology, but also love to interact with people and are comfortable in connecting with both our existing customers and prospects in-person or online. You have a solid understanding of digital marketing and can effortlessly take advantage of the digital tools at your disposal (website, email marketing and automation, CRM lead management, SEO/SEM).
The Industry Marketing Manager (IMM) will ensure that our industry message is being told consistently and integrated into marketing activities across the globe. The IMM will bring our industry narratives and sales playbooks to life, capture our go-to-market strategy, launch new industry-tailored offerings, position industry portfolios, develop sales tools, and enable the wider sales team.
A day in the life of an Industry Marketing Manager:Want to get a sense of what you’ll be handling on a daily basis? Here’s a brief overview of some of your key tasks. Key player in the go-to-market (G2M) planning, marketing strategy, outbound messaging and launches of our vertical offerings Manage all industry content, including industry sections of the website (evaluating page performance and conversion) Responsible for researching assigned industries and developing effective messaging that you help to adapt to different sales, and regional contexts Capture our buyer personas, write targeted value propositions, and design sales enablement tools Create targeted internal & external sales tools such as industry playbooks, presentations, selling guides, webinars, demo videos, courses, industry battlecards, and more Align with the SEM, HQ and regional demand generation teams on awareness and lead generation campaigns, e.g. always-on paid search campaigns Track online performance of industry related programs and assets, e.g. webpage traffic, SEM performance, search engine rankings, lead generation, conversion, and qualification rates

A minimum of 3+ years of marketing experience as a product marketing manager or industry marketing manager, or in a field-facing role like field marketing, business development, sales or inside sales Track record of working with sales, product marketing, digital marketing, content and communications teams Hands-on experience in one or more areas: sales enablement, market analysis, G2M planning, digital marketing and promotions Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or equivalent experience in marketing Very strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting in front of an audience Very strong command of the English language (mandatory), second language an asset Comfortable working with market, business, and digital data (market sizing, revenues, website traffic, leads) Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
Great if you have:Experience as a product marketing manager or industry marketing manager, or in a field-facing role like field marketing, business development, sales or inside sales Recording or delivering live demos of software products Platform experience: CRM (e.g. Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics), Marketing Automation (e.g. Marketo, Pardot, MailChimp), or Web CMS (e.g. Adobe AEM, WordPress) Pragmatic Marketing training, an MBA, or similar certificate
