    Position: Housekeeping Supervisor

    Location: Blue River, BC

    Type: Seasonal, Full-Time

    Reports to: Housekeeping Manager

    Overview:

    Responsible for training and supervising employees by assisting and supporting with resort housekeeping duties, ensuring the department functions are being maintained and the highest level of service is being provided for our clientele.

    A Day in the life of a Housekeeping Supervisor:
    Train and supervise new staff and support the housekeeping team.Ensure that all chalets, public areas, and the housekeeping department are serviced and cleaned to the highest standard. Details are extremely important.Ensure that rooms are checked regularly for repairs and refurbishing, and that required maintenance is entered in FIIX.Ensure that adequate supplies of paper products, chemicals, linen and cleaning materials and amenities are available in all main buildings.Comply with safety regulations ensuring proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is being used. Ensure guest confidentiality.Evaluate guests' needs and exceed guest expectations as much as possible. Have a thorough knowledge of our facilities, hours of operation, room/chalet types and detail within guest rooms/chalets.Drive company vehicles and golf carts with care and safety, reporting any damage to the housekeeping manager immediately.Execute all tasks and responsibilities promptly and efficiently, adhering to company policies while moving quickly and with care.

    Qualifications and Requirements:
    1-2 years' experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping.Proven leadership skills and experience supervising a team in a challenging work environment.Attention to detail, personal integrity, and ability to take initiative and show motivation.Capability to work with precision, organization, and accuracy while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing tasksAbility to work with various computer systems.Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team. High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.Must carry a radio to communicate between team members and other departments daily.Maintain a proper and exemplary image on and off duty and represent MWHS with integrity.Must be punctual for work shifts.Class 5 Driver's License.Adhere to the dress code which is black jeans and a supplied MWHS housekeeping shirt. Name tag must be always worn and visible.Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene standards.Wear proper PPE where necessary (personal protective equipment)

    Compensation:

    $23.70 per hour, plus auto gratuities, season completion bonus $1 per hour

    Position: Executive Housekeeper

    Type: Full time, year round

    Location: Blue River, BC

    Reports to: VP of Resort Operations

    Reporting to the VP of Resort Operations, the Executive Housekeeper is directly responsible for all housekeeping activities throughout all MWHS properties. The Executive Housekeeper leads the housekeeping department to deliver exemplary housekeeping services to achieve the highest level of cleanliness and tidiness. The Executive Housekeeper leads a team and represents the company's corporate image in an exemplary manner, acting as an ambassador for the brand image.

    Responsibilities:

    Housekeeping
    Performs standard housekeeping duties at the resort and all affiliated properties as requiredLeads the department's administrative functions including ordering supplies, assisting with budgets/cost controls, scheduling, and timesheet/ payroll submissionsEnsures guest areas, as well as staff facilities, are kept in good repair (general cleanliness and presentation, maintenance concerns, missing items, paint chips, major furniture scuffs/ damage, etc.)Ensures cleanliness in the housekeeping department, including walls, floor, staff room, washroom, storage areas, and loading area; ensures garbage is correctly stored/ disposed

    Project Management
    Coordinates/ leads regular departmental team meetings (ideally weekly)Works with Finance department to establish annual budget for necessary replacement of all suppliesEngages in proactive risk management to include the protection of property and to prevent injuriesMeets regularly with VP of Resort Operations to ensure workplace issues are addressed, both verbally and in writing via the weekly President's Report & MeetingTakes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm

    Leadership/Supervision
    Supervises the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness at the resort are adhered toCoordinates departmental human resource/staffing plans and champions the recruitment and development of staff; acts as coach to develop improvement plansEstablishes expectations and regularly reviews performance to provide feedback to staffCoordinates housekeeping department employee training manualInstills the highest level of attention to detail within the team

    Qualifications & Requirements:
    Completion of Grade 12 or General Equivalency DiplomaMinimum 7+ years direct work experience within a housekeeping team5+ years experience supervising others5+ years experience in the hospitality industryValid Class 5 BC Driver's LicenseMaintains thorough knowledge of facilities, hours of operation, room/chalet types, and all inventory details within guest rooms/chaletsAbility to supervise employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignmentsProven ability to work in a dynamic and challenging work environmentWell-developed interpersonal and communication skillsHigh degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and ability to work under pressureProficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

    Reports to: Housekeeping Manager and Supervisors

    Overview:

    Perform standard housekeeping duties at the resort and all affiliated properties by ensuring all rooms and public areas are serviced and cleaned to the highest standards. Cooperate and work jointly with others towards our common goal of excellent service.

    Responsibilities:
    Ensure clean linen is in a good state of repair. Ensure that rooms are checked regularly for repairs and refurbishing, and that required maintenance is recorded. Restock maids closet supplies and amenities daily. Ensure that staff accommodation is kept clean and in a good state of repair. Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness in the housekeeping department. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Drive company vehicles with care and safety, reporting any damage to the housekeeping manager immediately. Professional conduct - communicate effectively and appropriately and always find a way to be productive. Be responsible, ethical, and team oriented, and possess effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Always ensure guest confidentiality. Work must be performed to the highest quality. Attention to detail is extremely important. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner within company policies. Communicate all problems and/or ideas to your supervisor.

    Qualifications and Requirements:
    Experience is considered an asset. Must be able to frequently bend and kneel, lift a moderate weight, and work on feet for an extended period. Ability to communicate effectively. Must be able to speak English. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be willing to work a variety of day and weekend shifts Valid drivers' license an asset Must be punctual for work. Must always carry a radio to communicate between team members and other departments daily. The dress code is black jeans and a MWHS (Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing) housekeeping shirt which is supplied. The dress code must always be adhered to.
