Reporting to the Medical Device Software Safety Security and Therapy Team Lead, we are looking for a dynamic Core Application Developer.
Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
Meaningful work you will be a part of
In collaboration with other application and firmware developers, and risk and systems teams you will develop security, safety and therapy systems for the Globe® Pulsed Field System. Additionally, the successful applicant will participate in projects related to cybersecurity and safety risk controls that affect the entire code base.

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% Retirement contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors, including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
$87,000 - $110,000 (CAD Annually)

This position is based on a 3x4 schedule with 12-hour shifts . Candidates must be able to commit to working one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) consistently and be available for holiday shifts as operational needs require.

Your responsibilities will include:
Manage the performance of one of the manufacturing shifts.
Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing supervisors .
Manage performance and compensation reviews for supervisors and other manufacturing staff .
Lead workforce planning reviews to identify resource requirements and ensure required roles receive approval and are communicated to the Training Center .
Provide clear and actionable feedback to Training centre regarding performance readiness of newly certified production technician.
Review daily production targets and ensure resource utilization drives adherence to plan .
Drive daily stand-up meetings and ensure operational issues and follow up actions are clearly defined, prioritised and assigned .
Drive continuous improvement of the daily management system .
Drive early escalation and recovery planning and execution to address production down time occurrences .

Coordinate with Planning, Manufacturing Engineering and Inventory to help define the optimal cut -in strategy for engineering change orders .
