    Data Center Implementation Specialist 6 Month Contract to hire (Potential for extension or conversion) Fully onsite in Montréal Quebec

    Recently, announced the launch of six new AI inference datacenters powered by Wafer-Scale Engines. These state-of-the-art facilities, equipped with thousands of CS-3 systems, is expected to serve over 40 million Llama 70B tokens per second, thus making the world’s #1 provider of high-speed inference and the largest domestic high-speed inference cloud.
    Responsibilities The Data Center Sites Technician III will be responsible for day-to-day data center support activities, including but not limited to: server and network hardware installation, copper / fiber-optic cabling, "layer 1" troubleshooting and IT asset management. Network HW and CLI troubleshooting Be comfortable using and troubleshooting linux and server level BIOS issues Rack CS-3 systems, • Connect CS-3s to facility water and power, • Run fiber connections to CS-3, • Verify power, water flow and connectivity as expected, • Confirm no link flapping or optic issues, • Verify console access to all systems – CS-3s & switches, • Ensure all detritus cleared from DC floor each day, • RMA any failed HW and ensure it is properly designated, • Act as “hands-and-eyes” to CA-based engineers during SW bring-up.
    Qualifications Able to safely lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds Able to be on feet majority of work day 2-3 years Rack and Stack experience OS provisioning/reprovisioning (e.g., from USB or network share) Boot strapping network devices and configuring IP addresses on these devices 1-2 years basic Linux and scripting experience (e.g., checkout repo from GitHub, set up Linux environment, run and troubleshoot Ansible script) CompTIA Server+ certification (preferred) ITIL Foundation certification (preferred) Able to update asset management data as required, using scanners Effectively utilize ITSM / DCIM workflow management system Be familiar with, use and troubleshoot Linux OSes The Site III Technician will also need to be skilled in using and navigating different flavors of Linux. CompTIA Server+ certification (preferred) ITIL Foundation certification (preferred) DNS/DHCP Working knowledge of one or more ticketing systems, Jira preferred Working knowledge of server hardware (HP, Dell, Supermicro servers) Working knowledge of basic networking components and protocols (Cisco, Arista, Juniper) Knowledgeable in data center practices (e.g. fault tolerance, redundant cabling, calculating power usage, teaming, etc.) Strong cable management skills and experience running fiber and copper in a data center Sites III Technician to monitor and respond to hardware and software issues, utilizing industry standard ticketing system and to provide clear, timely and appropriate customer communications. Be able to configure, troubleshoot and navigate network hardware command line interfaces Able to manage server, switch, router, storage and other hardware lifecycle processes Able to understand how to correctly and effectively run cabling - e.g. power, Cat6, SM/MM fiber optic and IB Strong communication skills required to properly document tickets, send customer emails and communicate within the team Experience with O365 software desired Able to learn new systems, methodologies and procedures, including different types software/ hardware

  • A global leader in energy management and automation is actively seeking a detail-oriented Systems Engineer- Cloud Firmware & Software to join the Schneider Electric, EV Charging Systems team. This is a hybrid role, and will require 3 days onsite at their Richmond, BC location. It is a 12–18-month contract with potential for extension.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the firmware and software that connects Schneider Electrics products and systems to the cloud, ensuring seamless data transfer and functionality.
    Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Controls Engineering, Mathematics). 3+ years of experience in a similar role with proven record of delivering complex IoT offers with multitude of embedded devices underneath. Familiarity with C/C++ languages (Linux environment is preferred). Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Java or C#. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). Experience with Cloud APIs: Websockets, REST, Webserver etc. Experience with schemas and data structures like JSON. Familiarity with Ethernet-based communication protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, FTP etc. Knowledge of networking concepts, such as IP addressing, DNS. Familiarity with embedded protocols like Zigbee, CAN, RS485 etc.
    What You Will Be Doing Responsibilities: Own functional requirements, architecture and interfaces of features that spans across different Cloud, App and Embedded FW teams for residential energy management including solar, energy storage, electric vehicles and other cutting-edge technologies. Translate feature requirements into technical requirements and discrete decoupled module/component definitions that can be consumed by Cloud, App SW and Embedded FW teams. Architectural design of software blocks including block diagrams, flow charts, state machines, sequence diagrams etc. Lead and oversee Cloud, App and FW modules validation on subsystem and end-to-end levels. Be the key technical contact for marketing, product managers, code developers and systems engineers. Participate in design and code review to ensure quality, avoid un-needed complexity, and advocate for clarity.
