  • ***Electronic control Unit (ECU) Design and Release Engineer **** Description:The candidate will be responsible for the Design, development and release of Advanced Driver Assist (ADAS) components - long/short range radar, cameras (human/machine vision), ultrasonic sensors, and associated processing ECUs. Responsibilities include but not limited to: • Program & supplier management • Open issue tracking with proactive issue resolution o Delivery to all vehicle program milestones, and all aspects of cradle to grave release activity (specifications, sourcing documents, engineering change management, requirements clarification and cross-functional team alignment, generate program development timelines, lead component packaging, component/system HW/SW validation plans, develop ECU diagnostics, conduct HW/SW design reviews, author/review/approve FMEAs & DVPRs, PFMEA reviews, process standards, in-plant calibrations, launch support, safe-launch plan development, identify quality improvements, rapid response to warranty, technical cost reductions, etc.). • Responsible for risk identification and maintaining detailed risk assessment, mitigation, and management plans with frequent updates to senior leadership. • Work closely with ADAS Functional Integration engineers and cross-functional teams to execute and validate complex ADAS systems. Requirements: This position will not be starting until February 2025 A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Automotive Engineering from an ABET accredited university • Minimum 1 year design and release experience with automotive ECUs (electronic modules) • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team in a remote environment • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced work environment; requires minimal direction • Logical thinker who can sort through complex issues in pursuit of a resolution • Detail oriented, results driven Engineer with • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Docs • Excellent program management and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with design, development, and release of ADAS systems/components • Experience with DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and DVPRs • Familiar with CAN/LIN/LVDS communication protocols and troubleshooting tools • Experience in root cause and DFSS techniques (is-is not, 5-why, DMAIC, 8D, 5-penny, fishbone/fault-tree analysis) • Experience using Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer) Additional Information/ Must Have's: 1.   • Description Lead interface between the Chief Engineering team and the Product Release Center, primarily responsible for managing system interactions and interfaces between components and subsystems of the EDM gearbox. Design Systems / Applications Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer for multiple programs.     Description: The Validation Engineer's responsibilities include performing verification and validation of automotive systems to meet federally regulated guidelines for software performance (OBD), safety requirements, manufacturability, and vehicle functionality. The Validation team is responsible for the validation of hardware, software, and vehicle functionality. Responsibilities include: Developing master DVP's for Vehicle Validation. Creating and managing DVP&R's. Maintaining traceability of test artifacts to requirements. Performing initial root cause analysis activities. Documenting test procedures and developing new tests to enhance coverage. Ensuring test properties functionality for validating appropriate functions. Performing tests and entering test results at all I-Points for all programs. Documenting issues in PITS or GIM. Providing Validation Project Chief with all DVP&R results and open issues found. Formulating and implementing testing strategies including traceability from requirements to results. Requirements: Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering required. Minimum 0-2 years of automotive test/validation work experience required. Experience with tools such as Vector CANalyzer CDA (Preferred). Excellent communication skills. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Willingness to drive a company car. Willingness to travel domestically 20%.
