Overview

Coastal Care Veterinary Emergency & Referral Hospital is looking for an collaborative and professional Registered Veterinary Technician with a passion for Internal Medicine to join our specialty team. This position requires a driven individual with attention to detail and who is a self- starter and able to work in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate must be computer literate and have multi-tasking and time management skills. Job Summary:

The Internal Medicine RVT has many important responsibilities and is routinely entrusted with patient assessments, sedation/anesthesia, procedures, diagnostics, and treatments. The technician will be responsible for patient care, patient follow-up, and maintenance of Internal Medicine appointments and records.

They will be expected to maintain regular client follow up, and answer owner and referring veterinarian-related questions.

The technician must be a detail-oriented person who can make good decisions, respond quickly and calmly, and maintain high standards of patient care.

The technician will need to maintain clear and accurate written communications with the specialists, other hospital personnel, and clients to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Job Duties:

-Assist with procedures and perform diagnostics that include but are not limited to ultrasound, endoscopy/rhinoscopy/cystoscopy, chemotherapy, CT scans, fine-needle aspirates and cytology.

-Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor at all times.

-Demonstrate the willingness to obtain a full working knowledge of practice software.

-Support and educate clients on medical related illness, disease and treatment.

-Prioritize tasks to maximize clients' satisfaction and patients' health.

Qualifications:

- Registered Veterinary Technician designation, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

- Registered with EVTA/NSVMA.

Principales responsabilités:

Key Accountabilities:

The program provides comprehensive foundational training not only in fraud prevention but also across various other key areas, including marketing, credit underwriting, risk management, customer lifecycle, etc. to equip you with the skills and knowledge to make meaningful contributions to cross-functional projects.  Your Responsibilities: You will be responsible for one of the areas of credit card fraud, such as transaction fraud or fraud applications.  You will deep dive into the performance of existing strategies, with access to a vast amount of data which you will analyze to create recommendations to identify and stop emerging fraud trends.You will build the case to bring strategies to market and work with product and technology teams to implement them.  With our in-house technology, you get to see your work through to delivery in real time. As the owner of the strategy, you can then evaluate performance and continue to adjust and improve your strategy as needed.As the expert of your area, you will influence the strategic roadmap of the team and collaborate across the fraud team to drive change to our overall fraud experiences.You will use technical analytical skills (such as SQL and Python) to complete the analysis - don’t worry if you don’t know this now, we will help you learn.

Job Overview

As a Journeyperson Powerline Technician, you are responsible for the maintenance and construction of distribution and transmission systems. Under the direction of the Foreperson, this position will drive and operate line trucks and associated equipment and ensure a safe working environment for all.

Responsibilities:

Install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain electrical distribution and transmission systems including overhead power lines and cables, insulators, conductors, lightning arrestors, switches, transformers and other associated equipment
Use hot sticks to facilitate safe handling of high voltage lines without interrupting service, install protective grounds and cover-up. May operate hot sticks fitted with mechanically or hydraulically operated grasping and crimping tools to perform live line work
Splice, solder and insulate conductors and wiring
Erect and maintain steel, wood or concrete poles, towers, and guy wires
Read and interpret blueprints or process specifications
Inspect and test overhead power lines, cables and auxiliary equipment using electrical test equipment
Safely operate heavy duty utility equipment including Radial Arm Diggers, Bucket Trucks, and related equipment as required
Maintain good public relations with persons inside and outside the company
Maintain personal and group safety at all times
Respond to unscheduled outages as the result of weather, component failures, etc.
Be a positive team member through open communication and active participation in crew tasks

Qualifications and Requirements

Journeyman Powerline Technician Certificate and Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate
Strong knowledge of the Provincial Electrical Utilities Regulations and the Provincial Occupation Health & Safety Act, Regulations and Codes
Valid Class 3A Driver's Licence
Demonstrated ability to lead and effectively work on teams and mentor apprentices
Ability to climb poles, work at heights and work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time
Strong communication, leadership, team work and customer service skills
Ability to interpret drawings, develop/ interpret work, and plan projects for self and others
Excellent problem-solving skills
