Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Training Supervisor, the Composite Assembly Trainer will be responsible for training Composite Assembly Technicians. The trainer will provide coaching and feedback to all technicians on an ongoing basis to aid in the department s continuous improvement efforts. The Composite Assembly Trainer will participate in meetings to coordinate with lead hands and other trainers to ensure the training standard is compliant with company goals and expectations. When not training, the trainer will perform responsibilities associated with a Composite Assembly Technician.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Training:
Instruct and lead new technicians on the basic techniques and procedures in assembly processes.
Ensure all composite procedures and specifications are followed on a daily basis.
Provide coaching and feedback to all new and existing technicians on their job performance.
Provide feedback to the supervisor and lead hand on the progress of the new technicians.
Troubleshooting and recommendations for process/tooling/ergonomic/safety improvements
Foster health and safety in the workplace and knowledge of health and safety requirements.
Demonstrate standard work practices to ensure quality standards are met

Assembly Production:
Joining of composite to composite components through resin bonding, riveting, and fasteners
Installation of fasteners to composites - nut plates and riv nuts
Potting of inserts into core - core removal, surface preparation, insert bonding
Joining of metallic components to composite through resin bonding, riveting, fasteners, etc.
Understanding of proper bonding techniques - surface preparation, resin mixing and curing methods
Reworking of assemblies to remove minor imperfections
Fitting of components to match drawing, MID or specifications for part
Grinding, sanding, trimming parts to fit
Dry fitting of parts for proper layout procedure prior to installation / bonding
Ensuring proper torque values are met, torque striping of connections and safety wiring as required.
Working knowledge of IFMA s and EI s (specifications).
Ensure all production orders are completed fully and properly with all traceability for all components.
High attention to detail and mechanical ability.

Continuous Improvement / Surveillance:
Train employees, as directed by the Training Supervisor, in areas of non-conformances in quality or time to achieve quality and time targets.
Monitor and assess trained employees for training retention

New Part / Engineering Revisions:
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering Support to develop the best practices on new or revised parts.
Be the first to learn new part assembly processes
Train employees on the assembly process or new specifications for new or revised parts.

Health & Safety:
Ensure work areas and equipment kept clean and neat - 5S and FOD free
Complete actions / tasks coming from a Health & Safety audit or hazard report.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience
5 yrs experience with composite assembly operations

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Knowledge of the operations processes and 3 years of experience performing them
Experience using small hand tools such as clamps, rivet guns, drills, grinders, taps, wrenches, knives and screwdrivers
Ability to understand quality requirements and how to effectively meet quality standards
Teamwork focus

Follow standardized work instructions
Excellent communication skills
Be able to use measuring instruments and ability to read blueprint

In ABIVM, you will be nominated as FT instrumentation system and test Data integrator and will work in an operational environment to support Flight Test Instrumentation and its deployment and update.
In your role you will:
• Lead the mechanical development of new ground test equipment with a holistic approach.

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Cabin Management System Integrator to join our Cabin System team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with different engineering teams, on the implementation or modification of new systems or new equipment inside the cabin. You will be part of the Interior System team who is responsible for the cabin management system (CMS), water and waste system, cabin lighting, oxygen system and galley appliance.

Ce poste sera rattaché au Chef de Département Test Means (ABIVM) au sein du Centre d'Essais en Vol et d'Intégration (ABIV). Le poste est basé à Mirabel, Québec.
Dans le cadre de votre poste, vous serez appelé à : Développer des solutions de conception et les valider pour des avions d essais en vol expérimentaux et sur les bancs d essais. Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les groupes du Centre de Compétence et les divers groupes d essais en vol et au sol. Soutenir la conception et les revues de programmes avec les groupes du Centre de Compétence. Produire l état d avancement du projet et s assurer que les livrables d'ingénierie répondant aux exigences de qualité sont fournis conformément au calendrier. Appliquer ses connaissances pour fournir des solutions à une variété de problèmes techniques de portée et de complexité modérées, en utilisant une combinaison de jugement avec des pratiques et procédures définies.
En tant que candidat idéal, Vous avez un Baccalauréat ou diplôme technique en ingénierie mécanique ou aéronautique avec un minimum de 5 a 8 ans d'expérience pertinente en aéronautique ou industrie connexe. Vous détenez une solide connaissance de l installation et de la conception de systèmes d essais en vol, de bancs d essais et de la conception détaillée (tôlerie, pièces usinées, soudage, tuyauterie et assemblage de composants), les procédures et les normes de rédaction, les coûts et le calendrier. Vous avez une bonne connaissance de CATIA V5R21 et plus, ENOVIA, Excel et MS Office et les outils Google sont requis. Being part of the Flight and Integration Test team for the A220, the Mechanical design specialist is responsible for the mechanical design of the flight test aircraft systems and ground test rigs as well as the technical compliance of the components and the installation of these systems according to the requirements of the members of the Competence Center necessary for the type certification and development
The Mechanical design specialist will also support the integration of Flight Test installation components within the flight test aircraft vehicles and on the Ground Test Rigs.
In order to perform those tests, the Flight Tests and Ground Test Installation community covers a large scope of activities from test definition to test data analysis, going through test means definition, installation and maintenance.
This position will report to the Head of Test Means Department (ABIVM) within the Flight Test and Integration Center (ABIV). The position is based in Mirabel, Quebec.
In your role: You will develop design solutions and validate them for experimental Flight Test aircrafts and Ground Test Rigs. Closely interface with Center Of Competency groups, various flight and ground test groups and suppliers. Support design and program reviews with Center Of Competency groups. Produce status for the project and ensure that engineering deliverables, meeting quality requirements, are provided as per schedule. Apply knowledge to provide solutions to a variety of technical challenges of moderate scope and complexity using a combination of judgment with defined practices and procedures.
As our ideal candidate: You have a bachelor degree or technical diploma in mechanical or aeronautical engineering with a minimum of 5 to 8 years relevant experience in aerospace or related industry. In your role, you will:
Support evening production, completions and delivery operations in our manufacturing and assembly areas (ex: follow up on non-conformity reports (NCRs), key performance indicators (KPIs), etc)

The Machinist is responsible for interpreting engineering drawings and technical repair schemes in order to manufacture/modify and/or repair components and tooling required. The position is multi-disciplinary and services multiple departments in a variety of capacities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Manufacturing Detailed Parts/Tooling
Read engineering drawings, determine machining sequences and equipment required.

Overhaul Machining
Reads supplied repair schemes provided by overhaul technicians to determine machining operations required on components.

Position Summary:
The Avionics AME-E Technician is responsible for leading the avionics installation, setup and testing of navigation, radio and electrical equipment on the aircraft while ensuring the work is carried out in accordance to Airbus and Transport Canada Standards.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
Installation and testing of Avionics Wire Harnesses and Equipment:
Manage Avionics installations and projects as assigned
Work closely with sheet metal and mechanical teams to meet deadlines
Create wire lists for wire harness manufacturing from drawings
Use laser wire printer to produce specific coded wire and build wire harnesses to conform to Aircraft configuration.
Install AHCA manufactured harnesses and avionics equipment boxes on aircraft in accordance with manuals and drawings
Install externally supplied harnesses and equipment as per specific aircraft configuration and install manuals.
Collaborate with the engineering department in making revisions to drawings to ensure they are correct to the installation
Program, code, and configure equipment as required for operation by completing software downloads for basic aircraft systems and radios, ensuring updates to systems are completed and are the correct revision level prior to aircraft testing
Carry out all required ground and flight testing to ensure correct operation of systems
Perform pitot static and transponder tests prior to flight and sign log entries confirming completion
Troubleshoot avionics systems for snags found during/after installation and testing
Reference and understand internal and external systems manuals to ensure information is readily accessible during both the installation and function check
Inspect and repair installations as required and carry out quality assurance checks in conjunction with the Quality department

Production Organization:
Maintain correct daily time booking in SAP by scanning in and out of work orders
Complete work order sign outs for all tasks requiring completion within the work order book
Record all snags/defects/deficiencies found during the aircraft assembly process in the work order book
Ensure work packages are complete and present prior to beginning aircraft production i.e. various documentation, parts/components required for production, work instructions
Ensure production bay remains neat, tidy, organized and free from FOD prior to beginning aircraft production
Complete daily tool check on company issued tool boxes in accordance with internal FOD policies/procedures
Maintain cleanliness of the work area and hangar through end of day clean up ensuring 5S is obtained on a daily basis including verification of/accounting for all tooling returned to applicable shop toolboxes

Training/Continual Learning:
In addition to formal training, maintain currency and updating of knowledge through self-study
Participate in/complete recurrent aircraft type training upon AHCA request
Remain current on changes to internal (AG) and external (TCCA) service bulletins and safety alerts

A Penske Technician II will generally assist in the overhaul of major components or remove/replace major components at the direction of Lead Technician or Maintenance Supervisor. Expectations include the ability to diagnose and repair the following without supervision: clutches, PTO systems, electric systems, hydraulic/air brake systems, heating/air conditioning systems, instruments and gauges, and preventative maintenance service.

Major Responsibilities: Demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of with some assistance: Engines (gas and diesel), power train to include differentials, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, PTO s and wheel ends, electrical systems including starters and alternators, HVAC systems, steering systems, electronics to include ECM s, ECU s, sensors etc., engine bolt on items such as turbos, fan clutches, injectors, cooling system etc., brake systems including ABS, suspension systems (spring and air) Perform mechanical and general appearance reconditioning of equipment for trade-ins and prepare new equipment for delivery. Identify and determine parts required for repair of disassembled units Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order Maintain work area appearance and safety Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly. Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition. Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery. Adjust and replace brakes, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment. Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists. Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges. Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices. Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications. Specialize in repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmissions and differentials, to include replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components etc. Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications: 2+ years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required Must be currently enrolled in an apprentice program Must maintain membership/registration with respective Government Agencies Will consider candidates with a 310S license or automotive background Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred Proficiency in the use of shop tools required Current driver's license class G or class 5 and the ability to obtain class DZ it within 6 months of been hired required Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems. Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job Willingness to travel as necessary within the district (customers yards, close geographical area and training sites), work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a reference check.
