Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across multiple teams. Knowledge on Shopify, NetSuite, SaaS, BI platforms is an advantage but not a requirement. In this role, you will: Develop and implement optimization strategies to improve SAP BW system performance, such as query tuning, indexing, or data partitioning. Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of reports and dashboards to stakeholders, enabling them to make informed decisions and monitor business performance effectively. Provide training and support to stakeholders on utilizing and interpreting reports and dashboards effectively, empowering them to leverage the data for better decision‑making. Continuously monitor and fine‑tune optimized systems to maintain and further improve performance, ensuring efficient data processing and responsiveness. Expand the scope and depth of reports and dashboards, incorporating additional metrics, visualizations, and interactive features to provide more comprehensive insights. Foster a data‑driven culture within the organization by promoting data literacy and encouraging stakeholders to utilize and explore data through self‑service analytical tools. What it takes: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering. A minimum of eight years of experience in business intelligence and data warehousing (SAP BW 7.5 or higher) in a leadership or senior developer role. 2- years hands‑on experience on Native HANA development which includes building calculation views and CDS views. Worked on at least one HANA DB or S4 conversion projects relevant to Data Analytics or Business Intelligence. A SAP BW/4HANA, Datasphere, SAP BDC and SAC experience is an asset. Expert analytical thinking to understand business requirements, extract key insights from data, and translate them into actionable solutions. Exceptional problem‑solving and adaptability to quickly identify and address challenges such as data issues, system bottlenecks, or evolving business requirements. A natural proficiency in data modelling, ELT processes, data integration, and reporting tools to understand challenges and lead your team to success. In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
