Key Responsibilities: • Safely operate various types of material handling equipment (i.e., Walkie Rider, Forklift, MHE, Reach, Center Rider) in order to complete tasks, such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting product • Work collaboratively with the Operations Managers, area coordinators and other associates to effectively complete assigned tasks • Deliver outstanding customer service to internal distribution teams and to our stores by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner • Maintain orderly condition and housekeeping of your assigned work area • Key responsibility may vary based on location Competencies: • Customer Focus • Drives Purpose and Vision • Drives Results Skills: • Interpersonal skills • Organizational skills • Problem-solving skills Direct Manager/Direct Reports: • Reports to Operations Manager (OM) or Assistant Manager (AM) depending on location Travel Requirements: • None Physical Requirements: • Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items • Able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds Working Conditions: • Working a set schedule • Warehouse environment that can be dusty and noisy • Passing forklifts emit gas fumes • Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes Minimum Education: • High school Diploma or Equivalent Minimum Years of Work Experience: • 1 to 2 years of distribution centre experience an asset Minimum Leadership Experience: • N/A Certifications: • N/A Other Requirements/Assets: • Knowledge of operating forklifts is an asset.
