    Purpose of the position Reporting to the team leader, the individual prepares ready-to-assemble kits, carries out the merchandise receipt and verification process, maintains an accurate inventory of finished parts and hardware, and completes and maintains records in a computer system. The individual may also be called upon to receive and dispatch merchandise. Responsabilities: Carry out merchandise movement transactions on a daily basis; Controling inventories of finished parts and hardware; Preparing orders for parts to be assembled; Keep up-to-date records of orders and the number, type and location of parts and supplies available, using a manual or computerised system; Preparation of ready-to-assemble kits: Check the list of materials for kitting and register the entry of components; Verify the condition of the parts before puttng them in the kits; Make a note of any missing parts and inform the supervisor; Validate the contents of the ready-to-assemble kit with the list of materials before sending it off for assembly. Carry out transactions to enter equipment received into the MRP system and ensure proper inventory management; Place the equipment received on rental after reception; Using the ‘Doc Peen’ machine and manually identify the parts to be delivered to the customer; Consult data and reports from the MRP system; Other tasks: printing documents, filing, searching for pieces; Work as part of a team and replace members of the department, when necessary.
