    WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

    The main purpose of this position is to ensure that all guest rooms are cleaned to Blue Mountain/Westin brand standards, according to our detailed training programs. This position is essential to the success of the Lodging Department because it ensures that we are able to provide our guests with clean rooms and exceed their expectations of lodging service quality.
    Providing exemplary customer service.Cleaning of guest rooms includes making beds, changing linens as required, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens, dusting, vacuuming, placing furniture to original position and replenish amenities.Deep Cleaning units annually, including assisting with moving furniture, high dusting and full clean of unit.

    Physically fit and able to:Lift 25 pounds on a continuous basis.     The Manager of FP&A works to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of operating departments as well as indirect expenses. This position extracts financial and statistical data from various accounting and information systems. The incumbent performs complex statistical cost and financial analyses of financial reports and data and prepares subsequent narrative analysis for management, including analytics of Key Performance Indicators.

    This high visibility role provides Operating Managers & the Senior Leadership Team with detailed and in-depth analysis of our ongoing operations and initiatives. This role influences and supports all BMR Operating and G&A departments, including BMR leadership via providing support and justification for high level decision making.
    Analyzing financial information to determine present status of the company or department and to forecast future financial performance. Liaising with Alterra Shared Services as required.
    Preparing studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as operating/capital budgets, operating/capital forecasts, financial plans, reporting requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, KPIs and business forecasts.
    Coordinating with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, new business planning, trending future requirements, and operating forecasts.
    Managing FP&A processes and supervising FP&A staff (team of two).

    WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
    CPA Accounting designation
    Five plus years in a similar position, or equivalent experience is an asset.
    Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial and non-financial data, and communicate the information to operational departments for decision making.

    Teach cooking theory, processes and the "finer points" of cooking to all cooks and apprentices.Cook and carve meats, prepare sauces & salads, plate food and desserts for "a la carte", conference and food court functions (may include other applicable kitchen settings).Prepare for the following shift including recent updates, specific tasks and Mise en Place to support the anticipated business levels.Participate in menu/recipe development while maintaining and monitoring inventory requirements & adhering to the costing structure (budgets).Comply with safety regulations, including proper handling of all relevant equipment and machinery.

This position will provide liaison and support to the Sous Chef team to build and develop junior staff. Will supervise food preparation standards of Cooks, Journeyman Cooks & Apprentice Cooks. Will plan and organize daily/weekly production and service plan with fellow chef de parties and provide fast and efficient guest service and respond quickly to customer requests

    HOURLY WAGE- $22.70

    WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
    Teach cooking theory, processes and the "finer points" of cooking to all cooks and apprentices.Cook and carve meats, prepare sauces & salads, plate food and desserts for "a la carte", conference and food court functions (may include other applicable kitchen settings).Prepare for the following shift including recent updates, specific tasks and Mise en Place to support the anticipated business levels.Participate in menu/recipe development while maintaining and monitoring inventory requirements & adhering to the costing structure (budgets).Comply with safety regulations, including proper handling of all relevant equipment and machinery.
    WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?
    Red Seal Certified.In-depth knowledge of Food Safe Handling practices (and Certification).Past experience with food & labour costing, as well as menu development for a high volume kitchen with an emphasis for quality production.Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.Competent knowledge of production and operations in all relevant kitchen areas.
