Our Worker Compensation Case Managers are responsible for assisting employees and employers when the employee is off work, or at risk of being off work for either occupational or non‑occupational health reasons. They assess any barriers to a successful and timely return‑to‑work and engage with stakeholders to implement strategies that address those identified barriers and support employees’ return to work or an appropriate alternative plan. Worker compensation Case Managers work with a talented and collaborative group of professionals, in a dynamic role that provides ongoing learning and career development opportunities in absence and disability management. Your various responsibilities will allow you to use your analytical skills on a daily basis and to grow in a stimulating career.**Here's How*** Work with a vibrant and dynamic team* Develop through engaging mandates and projects* Have career opportunities for professional development* Have complete flexibility to work in office, remote, or a mix of both* Enjoy a flexible schedule and a comprehensive benefits program****What you’ll do***** Process interfund transfers, contributions, withdrawals and terminations for clients.* Provide regular and ad hoc reports for clients.* Receive and respond to plan member and client inquiries and requests.* Enter, update and audit information; perform and proof transactions on in-house software.* Liaise with consultants, trust companies and investment manager representatives concerning clients’ DC plans.* Perform reconciliations on a monthly basis.* Keep apprised of applicable new and existing pension, tax and securities legislation; share knowledge with the team.* Attend internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends.* Ensure that quality control and service standards are attained with every transaction.* Gain insight into the client's perspective and priorities.* Act as a back-up, respond to in-bound calls from members and clients.* Participate on special projects as required.****What you bring***** Excellent written and oral English and French skills are an asset.* 1-2 years’ experience working in a customer-focused role in the pension industry, and a foundation of knowledge in provincial pension and tax legislation.* Knowledge of group benefits (DB and DC pension or group insurance) an asset.* Relevant University or college degree, or an acceptable combination of education and work experience* Possessing or working towards obtaining a CSC or IFIC designation is considered an asset.* Possess exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with strong professional acumen and a proactive approach to assisting clients in finding solutions.* Excellent communication and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments.We’re a people-focused, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good.
