    The Role
    We are seeking a multi-skilled Product Designer with proficiency in visual design, experience design, interface construction, branding, and storytelling. We are looking for a designer who has demonstrated the ability to effectively partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers. This role is for our MSN Feeds and News space and will help us redefine how MSN customers read news, with the help of AI to increase topic comprehension, spot misinformation, and limit bias in news coverage. Portfolio/Reel review is required and previous experience working at Microsoft or equivalent large company will help to be successful in this role.

    Responsibilities
    Collaborates with research, product managers and engineering to guide end-to-end experiences from concept to ship, ensuring successful design implementation. Understands customer needs and motivations and integrates them into product design to contribute to user features and functionality. Creates visual design documents and develops wireframes, journey maps, task flows, and personas for interaction designs, using a prescribed design system. Communicates proactively with peers and managers, organizes cross-disciplinary communication, and manages tone, respect, and inclusivity in all communications, contributing to the success of others.

    Qualifications
    5+ years work related experience required. Strong knowledge of user interface and functionality design required. Strong creative skills and ability to generate design ideas required. Experience creating and implementing usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams is required. Proficiency in current and emerging web technologies and standard design software packages (i.e. Figma) Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

    About the Role: SENIOR CINEMATIC LAYOUT ARTIST
    RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Cinematics Director and various departments of the Game Team. Pre-visualize Scenes in Motion Builder, Maya and Unreal using concepts/script/storyboards. Motion Capture Session preparation and support. Technical Layout of real time scenes in Motion Builder, Maya and Unreal. Editing with audio using Premiere and Unreal. Final Camera polish Create and support seamless transitions between gameplay and cinematics. Tell stories and convey emotions through cinematic cameras, bring creative solutions to strengthen the scenes. To adopt a deep understanding of the proprietary tools and process used on the layout team and build upon that foundation. To foresee layout production needs and communicate tool requests effectively. To work with production on dependencies, estimates and scheduling.     Job Title: Technical Artist (AAA Games) Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Proactively work with other disciplines to identify pain points in workflow and help determine solutions for them Run-time performance – work with art teams to reduce content complexity, lighting cost, draw calls, etc. where appropriate, while maintaining visual quality Use pix to identify content performance concerns and communicate over-budget assets out to the respective teams Work with Level Art team to help identify and troubleshoot any performance issues in Environments Work with Technical Animation team to help identify and troubleshoot any animation related issues Work with Character art team to help identify and troubleshoot character specific problems (Morph targets, materials/shaders, etc.) Educating, creating technical documentation, and communicating with external vendors Fix bugs in the game as they are reported

    Qualifications: Experience of working on AAA game. Strong knowledge of production pertaining to video games The ability to problem-solve, specifically test and debug technical issues Strong knowledge of Unreal 4 or equivalent engine Strong knowledge of shader creation and optimization Strong knowledge in 2D/3D art packages (Photoshop/Maya) Scripting/programming in python, C# and C++ Houdini/Substance Designer a plus


    Location : Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)

    Salary Range: The salary for this position is between CA$100,000- CA$115,000 Annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
