    Ensures the accurate and timely preparation of all payrolls and manual cheques in compliance with contractual and government guidelines. Maintains the integrity of the payroll databases through monitoring while ensuring compliance with established procedures and internal controls. Supervises payroll employees including planning, organizing, assigning, scheduling, and coordinating of work. Calculates and monitors vacation schedules and vacation pay entitlements. Maintains effective working relationships between individual payroll employees and between payroll and other staff. Prepares various reports on a periodic and annual basis such as pension reports, seniority lists, T- 4 slips, WCB reports, etc. Calculates adjustments to statutory benefits for persons on multiple payrolls. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Grade 12 graduation plus completion of the Payroll Management Certificate Program (Level III) or equivalent. Three year's related experience on a computerized payroll system. Ability to supervise payroll employees. Proficiency and speed in the use of calculators and a good aptitude for figures. Ability to work with constant interruptions and the necessity to meet deadlines. Ability to maintain close attention to detail for periods of sustained duration.
